Free: Office Accounting Package

If you're self employed or just need a simple way to manage accounts, track invoices and bill payment (and a few other basic business features) you should check out Free Office Accounting Express 2008 by Microsoft.

It may not have all the features of the full version (retails for $199.95); but you do get:

  • Core Accounting (General ledger, A/R, A/P, invoicing, bill payment and online banking)
  • Integration with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Integration with add-on services for payroll, credit card processing, eBay and many others
  • Access to the Resource Center to get help with common questions
