Get Your Contracts Signed Faster With EchoSign

Contract negotiations are mostly handled via emails nowadays (before that, fedex and faxing of versions back and forth was the way to go).

However, when it comes time to execute a final agreement, both sides generally print the document and fax it back to the other side.

Unless someone scans the signature pages and creates a pdf, there is no electronic signed copy.

Echosign makes the whole process faster in 3 simple steps:

1. Send the document for signature using EchoSign: once a document is finalized, you simply upload it to the site and use their interface to email it out to everyone.

2. They print, sign and fax: the emailed document includes a fax cover sheet with the fax number pre-filled. The other side simply prints it, signs it, and sends it to the fax number on the pre-printed form.

3. Everyone receives a copy: all parties automatically receive a PDF copy of the signed document, the moment it is signed for filing, printing and/or forwarding.

Free Navigation For Your Mobile Phone With Google Maps

Google has just released a new, FREE feature -- Google Maps with My Location (Beta). See your location on the map, even without GPS. Save time and tedious keystrokes finding where you are, what's around you, and how to get there.

Watch the video below to see how it works.

The My Location feature takes information broadcast from mobile towers near you to approximate your current location on the map - it's not GPS, but it comes pretty close (approximately 1000m close, on average).

Still in beta, the My Location feature is available for most web-enabled mobile phones, including Java, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and Nokia/Symbian devices."

Wi-Fire Range Extender

Gift idea for this Thanksgiving:

When you're just out of range of the nearest Wi-Fi signal you might want to have the Wi-Fire Range Extender USB signal booster on hand. A review at the Cool Tools web site says:

I was in a remote Alabama campground and their little access point was perhaps a few hundred feet away. With the internal Wi-Fi adapter in my Thinkpad (it's Mac/PC compatible), no go. With the Wi-Fire aimed carefully I got a solid, workable signal. I just rotate it around until I get the best signal.
The Wi-Fire Range Extender will cost you ~$80 bucks, and looks like the kind of tool to make a laptop owner in your life very happy.
